The Pawlivy journal

Our editorial policy

How the Pawlivy Editorial Team researches and writes practical pet care and product guides.

Policies & page contents

The details

Pawlivy guides are written to help readers make informed decisions about non-food pet accessories and everyday care. Our byline identifies the Pawlivy Editorial Team; it does not imply veterinary qualification or an independent product test.

Research and originality

We read relevant existing guides, consult professional or manufacturer sources for topic-specific facts and write original explanations. Source links appear within articles and in the further-reading section. A source’s statement is not presented as our own hands-on experience.

What we cover

Topics include product fit, measuring, cleaning, toy selection, enrichment, transport accessories and compatibility. We distinguish model specifications from general guidance, and identification tags from GPS, radio or Bluetooth tracking.

Limits of the advice

We do not diagnose animals, guarantee product safety in every situation or claim that an accessory treats a disease. Supervision, individual fit and manufacturer instructions matter. For health concerns, seek advice from a qualified professional familiar with your pet.

Illustrations and product images

Brand and category lifestyle images are illustrative. New guide illustrations may be edited with AI from licensed real photographs to explain a particular measurement, product structure or routine. The caption identifies edited illustrations, credits the source photographs and links their licenses. Changes to a setting, action or composition do not represent a hands-on test, an observed customer experience or a photograph of a particular Pawlivy item. An illustrated accessory is not a specification for a particular item. Product pages should be assessed using their actual product details and identity images.

Publication and archive dates

A published date records when a guide was first made available. An archive date is an editorial filing date used to organize the journal and may be earlier than publication; it does not mean the article existed publicly on that date. Research and product information describe the sources consulted for the current guide, even when its archive date is earlier.

Corrections

We update guides when a factual correction or material source change is identified. Send a correction request with the article URL, the relevant statement and supporting evidence. Browse the Pawlivy journal for our current articles.
