This panel provides targeted radiant heat for a reptile basking area, not an entire enclosure. It mounts with screws and has a detachable power cord and a sealed housing that wipes clean. A thermal fuse cuts power if the panel overheats. The panel works best with a proportional thermostat for temperature control.
For the 40W option, the panel is made in the USA from high-impact, glass-reinforced Noryl. It is under 2 inches thick and has a 6-foot power cord. It is most effective within 16 inches below the panel, for enclosures measuring 2 x 4 feet or smaller in rooms above 75°F. These measurements and heating conditions apply to the 40W option.
The panel is for reptile habitats, including snake, bearded dragon and leopard gecko enclosures.
