Changing your router, Wi-Fi name or password can leave an automatic pet feeder needing a different network connection. Start with the feeder's own network-change instructions. A documented in-app switch can be a different operation from deleting the device, setting it up again or resetting it.
This guide compares three official PETLIBRO procedures. They come from one manufacturer, not three independent tests. Their menu labels and network conditions differ, so use the example that matches your feeder and current app.
Identify what actually changed
Before opening a reset menu, write down the feeder model, the app you use and the change you made: a new router, a renamed network, a new password or a move to another location. Keep the password private; it does not belong in a public troubleshooting post or screenshot.
Check whether the manufacturer's instructions describe changing an existing device's network or adding a device for the first time. If your app does not show the documented control, stop at that mismatch. A similarly named setting on another feeder is not a substitute.
The examples below illustrate why the model matters. Granary 2's linked article mentions two frequency bands; Polar's procedure has a narrower condition. The Vision article gives a switch path without specifying a band.
Use the matching network-change route
Granary 2: Replace Wi-Fi
PETLIBRO's Granary 2 support section links to its Replace Wi-Fi procedure. It describes starting in the app without a reset:
- Open the device's settings, then its Wi-Fi settings and the Replace Wi-Fi control.
- Follow the connection prompts. The article says the phone should be on the intended 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network.
- Check the network name and password, then wait for reconnection.
That wording does not establish that every feeder carrying the Granary name supports both bands. The page also gives a reset-and-re-add fallback. We read that branch but do not teach it here: the page does not establish what happens to your existing time and feeding settings during it.
Polar Wet Food Feeder: same-area, 2.4G condition
The Polar network-replacement instructions require the new network to be in the same area as the old one and to operate only on the 2.4G band.
Within that scope, open the app's WiFi settings, choose Replace WiFi, use the WiFi icon to select the new network and continue with Next. Enter the new network name and password to begin connecting.
If you have moved beyond that same-area situation, this page does not establish that the procedure will work remotely or while the feeder is unreachable. Ask support for the route that applies to your situation instead of borrowing Granary 2's band wording.
Granary 2 Vision: Switch Wi-Fi
The dedicated Granary 2 Vision support index links to this network-change article for a changed home network or a moved feeder. Its route is the device's settings, WIFI settings, then Switch Wi-Fi. Select the new network, complete the setup prompts and wait for reconnection.
The article does not state a frequency band or prescribe a reset. Neither detail should be filled in from a different model's instructions.
Separate connection status from feeding readiness
After following the matching route, check the actual device state shown in your app. Record whether it reconnects or remains unavailable, rather than describing an attempted switch as completed. If the process fails, note which stage failed and the exact error message. That gives support a concrete question instead of a request to guess what a reset might repair.
A connected status answers a network question. It does not, by itself, establish that the feeder's displayed time is correct, the intended feeding plan remains saved or food has actually reached the bowl. Inspect those separately using the instructions for your model. Do not assume that a reset preserves them, or repeatedly trigger extra meals just to test connectivity.
If a power interruption also occurred, use the separate feeder power-interruption check. For equipment browsing, the automatic pet feeders category is a starting point; confirm network requirements against the exact product's documentation.
Source scope: three complete manufacturer procedure pages, with official indexes used to associate the two generically titled pages with their feeder families. App appearance can change; this is documented guidance, not an account operation, connection test or dispensing test. See our editorial policy.
