Use Tractive LIVE Tracking through the instructions for your actual tracker and app: select the intended device, start the session, decide whether to continue or change its duration, and use the documented stop control. Keep the command you select separate from the state the app actually reports.

This guide covers that complete session workflow for equipment you own. It does not establish a location's accuracy, a pet's route or a recovery result. An unfamiliar control calls for checking the matching instructions rather than borrowing another device's gesture.

Select the tracker before starting a session

In the account you already use, confirm which tracker you intend to operate. If several devices appear, check the actual device identity rather than relying on a similar pet nickname. Keep the model and matching support page beside the app view you are using.

Decide whether you want to start a new session, continue one or stop one already running. These are different actions. Write down any unavailable control or unexpected status before changing unrelated settings.

Start LIVE and find its duration controls

Tractive's activation guide gives this mobile-app route:

  1. Open Map and select LIVE.
  2. If hidden, use the arrow-up icon at the map's lower corner.

It describes a five-minute default end and offers Continue LIVE to continue.

To change the default duration, select the tracker icon at Map's top corner, open LIVE Tracking Duration, choose an available option and Confirm.

The guide says its latest dog or cat trackers in a Power Saving Zone need the phone within Bluetooth range for LIVE. Confirm which model that description covers.

Read the choices actually offered to your device. Record the option you select instead of assuming an unlisted duration exists. If the route or control differs from the guide, resolve that discrepancy before treating a different menu as the same instruction.

Keep the two timer descriptions distinct

The separate Default-versus-LIVE article describes automatic stopping after five minutes of non-use. That condition differs from the activation guide's wording.

Do not turn those statements into one verified countdown for every device or app. Keep your chosen setting and the end you actually observe as separate entries; a published default is not an observation of your own session.

Stop through the expanded bottom bar

Tractive's bottom-bar guide says the bar can be dragged up or down. Fully expand it to access Stop, which ends the LIVE Tracking session.

After using the documented control, check the state actually displayed. Record an unresolved message or a missing change rather than declaring a successful stop merely because you selected a control. This session command is not an instruction to change an account, subscription or ownership arrangement.

Finish with an observation or a precise question

A short private record makes a timing or interface question easier to explain:

  • The tracker model, matching instructions and date.
  • The action selected: start, continue, duration change or stop.
  • The duration option actually offered and selected, if applicable.
  • The displayed state and the time you observed it.
  • Any unavailable control, unexpected end or remaining question.

Keep account secrets out of that note.

Our location-to-phone guide explains the separate positioning and communication process. Saving a past journey is another task, covered by the history-export guide. When browsing cellular GPS pet trackers, check each actual model's controls and service documentation; this workflow does not verify current stock or measured tracking performance.
