The best Syrian hamster cage is the one whose actual living space, bedding arrangement and equipment access you can verify for your individual hamster. A product name or a long accessories list cannot settle those questions. Compare three documented designs below, then resolve the missing measurements before buying.
This is a comparison of manufacturer documentation, not a firsthand product test or a ranked winner. The three examples offer different wall, base and access arrangements; none receives an automatic suitability certificate here.
Start with one hamster and a usable base
PDSA's December 2024 guide advises housing hamsters separately, explicitly including Syrians. It reports a German welfare association's 100 x 50 cm minimum while acknowledging limited evidence for an exact size, and calls for space to accommodate at least 25 cm of bedding. These are attributed guidance points, not a universal US legal minimum or approval of any cage below.

Savic: check the access and accessory bundle
Savic lists 9.5 mm wire spacing, tool-free assembly, a corner platform with ladder, hideaway, steel feeding bowl, wheel and 150 ml bottle. Its description calls 118 x 64.5 cm “floor space,” but its FAQ uses those figures within the cage dimensions. The included wheel has no diameter in this page, so inclusion does not establish a Syrian fit. The front and top doors provide two access routes; their clear opening sizes and the permitted bedding depth remain questions to resolve.
BUCATSTATE: keep the version and extras straight
The same 3.0 listing also offers a 100 x 50 x 52.5 cm version; do not transfer the larger version's dimensions to it. Its bedding statement gives 25 cm / 30 cm together without explicitly assigning each value to a variant. The sale is cage-only, with display decorations excluded. Universal wheels and stacking parts are also excluded, and the page limits its current 3.0 parts to the 3.0 cage. The maker's Syrian-hamster marketing does not replace your own space and equipment checks.
Ferplast: investigate the transparent base and removable structure
GLASSY 120 includes one shelf with ladder, a water bottle and steel bowl. The shelf is separate from the continuous base, and the smaller GLASSY 80 is a different size. Ferplast describes the base as deep but gives no numerical bedding capacity in this instructions. The separable base and mesh structure provide a documented access feature; they do not establish a cleaning-product or soaking permission. Its multi-animal marketing is not adopted here: plan this purchase for one Syrian hamster.
Turn a shortlist into a purchase decision
First decide what you need to reach during ordinary care: the base corners, bedding area, water equipment and removable accessories.

Use these final questions with the seller or maker:
- Which exact size and generation will arrive, and which parts are included?
- What are the internal ground dimensions, separately from the outside footprint?
- What bedding depth is permitted for that variant, and what usable headroom remains?
- What are the clear access openings, and which panels or base parts detach as instructed?
- Which material-specific care methods are permitted, and what important facts remain unanswered?
Keep an unresolved answer marked unknown rather than ranking a cage on a guessed specification.
